Cory Szczepanski is a welder and labour leader from Brandon, Manitoba.
He is the President of the Brandon Labour Council and has also served as President of the local United Steelworkers union.
A longtime activist committed to giving back to his community, Cory entered political life in 2011 when he ran as the provincial NDP candidate in Spruce Woods.
Now he’s working to join Tom Mulcair’s team in Ottawa as a strong voice for the community of Brandon-Souris.
He’s fighting for good jobs, better access to health care, and is committed to growing opportunities for young people in the community.
Born and raised in Brandon, Cory now lives in Wawanesa with his wife Giselle and daughters Emma and Ayla. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys camping, hunting and fishing.
